Naomi, Tiffany Stratton Sign With SmackDown

We shoot backstage and we see Naomi coming out of Nick Aldis’ locker room, to the excitement of Bianca Belair, Shotzi and Michin. Tiffany Stratton walks up and asks where her applause is because she just signed with SmackDown, too. She smacks Michin in the face and walks off. Aldis comes out and makes a match for them tonight.

Back inside the arena, Pretty Deadly make their way to the ring for a Fatal-4-Way Tag-Team Qualifier match with tag-title implications. As they settle in the ring, we shift gears and head into a pre-match commercial break. When we return, we see Belair talking to Aldis about what she has to do to get a shot at IYO SKY if Bayley picks Rhea Ripley for WrestleMania.

Logan Paul comes up and cuts off Belair and offends her, saying he wants a match against someone tonight, anyone but Kevin Owens. Belair and him argue about him cutting her off and he walks off.

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Samantha Irvin begins the official pre-match ring introductions for the opener, which will be the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Natalya’s theme hits and out she comes as the number one entrant for this year. Naomi’s theme hits second and out she comes as the first surprise entrant of the evening. She and Nattie kick things off for a few minutes and then Bayley comes out at number three. At number four was Candice LeRae.

Out at number five as cops sirens sounds, is current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. The commentators explain who she is to the viewing audience at home and a good portion of the crowd seems to be aware of who she is. Pat McAfee puts over Grace as an “absolute weapon” for TNA. They mention how she defeated Naomi for the TNA Knockouts title. She and Naomi hug and then duke it out. Indi Hartwell comes out next and then Asuka.

Hartwell ends up being the first person eliminated. Bayley keeps trying to high five Asuka, who wants nothing to do with her. Coming in next is Ivy Nile. Katana Chance comes in at number nine after that. Number ten comes out and is Bianca Belair. She gets a big pop coming out. Kairi Sane comes out as the next entrant. All three members of Damage CTRL in the ring work together to eliminate Candice LeRae.

The countdown clock appears again and out as the 12th entrant is Tegan Nox. Grace looks to eliminate Nox, but Nattie saves her friend. The two hug and then Nattie tries to sneak and throw her out, only for her to throw Nattie out. Bayley then eliminates Nox so they both end up tossed out anyways. The countdown clock appears again and out at number 13 is Kayden Carter. We see Kairi Sane nearly pull a Kofi Kingston, but slips and ends up eliminated.

Seconds later, Asuka gets thrown out. Bayley is now the only Damage CTRL member still alone in the ring. She yells to them, “What do we do about the plan now?!” The countdown clock appears again and when it expires, Chelsea Green’s theme hits and out she comes with an insanely oversized skirt as part of her entrance attire. She takes it off and heads to the ring as Cole reminds everyone she was eliminated in 5 seconds last year.

This year she is nearly thrown out in 2 seconds, but hangs on. Belair throws her over again but again she hangs on. She hits a big move on Belair and over-celebrates, but then gets spinebuster-slammed down to the mat by Grace. Bianca ends up KOD’ing Grace to eliminate her. Piper Niven comes out as the next entrant and she and Green go to work on everybody with double-team action. Xia Li comes out as the next entrant.

Zelina Vega comes out as No. 17 with an even wilder entrance attire than Chelsea Green. Maxxine Dupri comes out next and gets a big response from the crowd, who also loudly does the “SHOOSH!” bit with her once she gets in the ring. She immediately eliminates Xia Li and Ivy Nile with ease. The fans boo like crazy. Green tries sneak attacking her, but she sees it coming.

Niven goes to splash her but Jax moves and she splashes Green on accident. Niven then spears Jax over and over again into Green in the corner. Shotzi comes out and hits some high spots off the top. Becky Lynch comes out after that and the crowd goes wild. “The Man” hits the ring and immediately starts getting some eliminations, including Chelsea Green. Out at no. 22 next is Alba Fyre. At no. 23, out comes Shayna Baszler to a non-reaction.

Out at number 24 is Valhalla. She comes out with the antlers on and Michael Cole goes unbelievably nuts. Like for a while. As she walks to the ring, R-Truth’s theme hits and out he comes walking past Valhalla and sliding into the ring to an enormous pop. He looks confused. Nia Jax grabs him and throws him out in seconds. The fans boo. Adam Pearce runs down and tells Truth it’s the Women’s Rumble. He tells Truth he’s out and Valhalla she’s in. Valhalla goes in but is immediately thrown out.

At number 25, out comes Michin. At number 26, Zoey Stark comes in. Roxanne Perez comes out at no. 27. We see some more eliminations and then Perez hits a cool spot rolling around the body of one of the other entrants for what seems like forever. Jax ends up power bombing Baszler out and then Michin for two more eliminations. The commentators continue to sing her praises for her performance thus far tonight. She also power bombs Shotzi out of the ring to eliminate her.

The countdown clock hits again and out at number 28 is former AEW TBS Women’s Champion Jade Cargill to easily the biggest sustained roar of the evening thus far. Like really, really loud. She hits power spots on Nia Jax and eliminates her. Tiffany Stratton comes out at no. 29. At no. 30, out comes Liv Morgan to make her long-awaited WWE return. A bunch of eliminations take place, including Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair, after a cool stare down between Belair and Cargill.

We’re down to Cargill, Morgan and Bayley. Bayley and Morgan try together to eliminate Cargill. They eventually do. Bayley then kicks Morgan out to eliminate her. She is the last person standing. Bayley has won the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble and will now go on to challenge for the title she chooses at WrestleMania 40.

Winner and ADVANCING to WrestleMania 40: Bayley

WWE Women’s Championship
IYO SKY (C) vs. Charlotte Flair

It’s main event time!

Now we head back inside the arena where we hear the familiar sounds of Charlotte Flair’s theme music. “The Queen” makes her epic entrance to the ring for her championship opportunity in our final match of the evening here on this week’s show.

The women’s wrestling legend settles in the ring and her theme music dies down. Now the entrance tune for the reigning and defending WWE Women’s Champion hits and out accompanied by Bayley and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL, is Iyo Sky.

“The Genius of the Sky” settles in the ring and the bell sounds to get this one officially off-and-running. Charlotte gets the early offensive jump on the champ, who retreats to the floor alongside Bayley and Kai as we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as this women’s title contest continues.

When we return, we see some more back-and-forth action until the fight spills out to the floor where Charlotte slams IYO face-first on the hard part of the ring apron. On that note, we head into another mid-match commercial break as the main event of the evening continues.

This time when we return the action plays out until the finish. Charlotte has IYO dead to rights and goes for the cover, but Bayley puts IYO’s foot on the ropes. Charlotte goes out and launches Bayley over the commentary desk. She heads back in the ring as Dakota hops on the ring apron and distracts the ref.

Charlotte goes to spear IYO but we see that IYO was holding the title, so Charlotte speared it. IYO goes for the cover and wins. After the match, Damage CTRL beats down Charlotte until Bianca Belair runs out and makes the save. Belair and Flair stand tall as this week’s show goes off the air on that note. Thanks for joining us!

Winner and STILL WWE Women’s Champion: IYO SKY

WWE Women’s Championship
Asuka (C) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair

We see silly “comedy relief” with Alpha Academy and The Miz in a sponsored Mike’s Hard Lemonade ad segment. After it wraps up, the video package for our next match airs.

With that said, we see the events that led to tonight’s triple-threat showdown for the WWE Women’s Championship between Asuka, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair.

The video package wraps up and then we are treated to the iconic ring entrance of Charlotte Flair. “The Queen” settles in the ring to a big pop and her music dies down.

Asuka’s tune hits and out comes the reigning and defending WWE Women’s Champion to the ring. “The Empress of Tomorrow” settles inside the squared circle and her music dies down.

Finally, Bianca Belair’s theme hits and out she comes to a big crowd reaction. “The EST of WWE” swings her ponytail and settles in the ring. Her music fades off.

Now the ring announcer handles the drawn out, formal pre-match ring introductions for the champion and the two challengers. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one.

Charlotte takes it to Asuka straight out of the gate. With Asuka out on the floor, Belair and Charlotte smile at each other and then begin getting after it. Charlotte gets knocked out of the ring and then Asuka goes to work on Belair.

All three end up trading big shots and then high spots until Belair gets a turn in the dominant offensive driver’s seat. Asuka takes out Belair and then locks Charlotte in a choke, which “The EST of WWE” breaks up just in time.

Belair clutches at her knee after breaking up the pin. She limps up to the top rope where Asuka knocks her out to the floor. Charlotte knocks Asuka out and then goes for a huge top-rope moonsault to the floor on Belair.

Asuka kicks Charlotte as soon as she lands and then brings her in the ring where she hits a big top rope spot and a DDT for a close near fall, which Belair again breaks up. Belair hoists Asuka up for the K.O.D. but Asuka gets her legs in the ropes to free herself.

Charlotte ends up blasting Asuka with a big boot to knock her out to the floor. Belair then hoists Charlotte up for the K.O.D. Charlotte lands on her feet but then Belair throws her overhead with a huge German suplex, Asuka knocks Belair out to the floor and tries stealing the pin, but only gets two.

“The Empress of Tomorrow” locks “The Queen” in an armbar and transitions to a triangle choke, with Belair still on the floor. Charlotte muscles Asuka up and tries power bombing her way out of it, but she slips. Belair comes in and hits a sit-down power bomb on Charlotte, but Asuka snatches her up in a rear naked choke. Charlotte breaks it up.

“The Queen” hits a top-rope moonsault on Belair and Asuka and tries covering them both, only to get a count of two. Belair crashes and burns on the floor trying a move and again clutches her knee immediately. Charlotte and Asuka fight in the ring as Belair is checked at ringside.

Charlotte gets Asuka in the figure eight. Belair limps up to the top and hits a wild 450 splash onto Charlotte to break it up. She goes for the cover but only gets a two. We see Asuka mist Charlotte while she’s got Belair in the figure four. Belair then grabs Asuka and rolls her up for the win still in the hold. We have a new champion.

Winner and NEW WWE Women’s Champion: Bianca Belair

WWE Women’s Championship
Bianca Belair (C) vs. Iyo Sky

After the match, we see Bianca Belair celebrating with the title when out of nowhere the theme for Iyo Sky hits. Out comes “Ms. Money In The Bank” with fellow Damage CTRL member Bayley.

Bayley has the briefcase and she’s hitting everyone in sight on the way to the ring. She runs into a big shot from Belair. Sky picks up the briefcase and chop blocks Belair’s injured leg with it.

She cashes in the briefcase and the bell rings. Sky heads to the top-rope and connects with her moonsault finisher for the pin fall victory. We have another new WWE Women’s Champion! Damage CTRL celebrates in the ring afterwards.

Winner and NEW WWE Women’s Champion: Iyo Sky
